Filmography Highlights
Catch Me If You Can
Cheryl Ann
Steven Spielberg's true-crime drama follows con artist Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio), who forged millions of dollars in checks while posing as a pilot, doctor and lawyer, and the FBI agent (Tom Hanks) who pursues him. Garner appears as Cheryl Ann, one of the young women drawn into Frank's world of charm and deception.
Daredevil
Elektra Natchios
Garner made her leading-lady film debut as Elektra Natchios opposite Ben Affleck in this Marvel adaptation, playing a formidable martial artist who becomes both love interest and adversary to blind vigilante lawyer Matt Murdock. The role launched Elektra as a franchise character in her own right.
13 Going on 30
Jenna Rink
Garner's breakout comedic lead: a 13-year-old girl who wishes herself “30, flirty and thriving” and wakes up as a successful magazine editor in an adult life she doesn't recognize. The film became a defining romantic comedy of the 2000s and one of Garner's most beloved performances.
Elektra
Elektra Natchios
A Daredevil spin-off built around Garner, resurrecting Elektra Natchios as a resurrected assassin-for-hire who is contracted to kill a single father and his daughter — only to end up protecting them instead. It marked one of the first female-led superhero films from a major studio.
The Kingdom
Janet Mayes
A tense action-thriller in which an FBI team, including Garner as forensics expert Janet Mayes, is sent to Saudi Arabia to investigate a deadly terrorist bombing that killed American workers, navigating diplomatic tension and danger to find those responsible.
Juno
Vanessa Loring
In Jason Reitman's Oscar-winning comedy-drama, Garner plays Vanessa Loring, a woman hoping to adopt the baby of unexpectedly pregnant teenager Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page). Her quietly aching performance as a woman who wants to be a mother became one of the film's emotional anchors.
